What You Will Need

Felting a shed can be daunting when you have never completed the task before, however, it is actually more straight forward than people think. Before the process can begin, there are a few things that you will need:

  • A stable ladder
  • Hammer
  • Felt nails
  • Wood nails
  • Felt adhesive
  • A tape measure

Step By Step

  1. Begin by getting rid of all the old felt from your shed. It can be easily removed with a knife however you should be careful when doing it. Keep the wood deck to one side so that you may use it again.
  2. Use the tape measure to see how much felt you will require. It should cover the ensure area of the roof and also have extra around the edges. Around 7.5cm will also be needed for use on the gable ends. Most sheds will require the felt to be cut into three separate pieces.
